Harvest in the Heritage District

The Town of Gilbert entrusted us with an exceptional mission – to conceive and execute the first placemaking project in public spaces since 2016. Our team rose to the challenge, leaving no stone unturned to ensure a delightful experience for all.

In the first square, we honed in on the rich Latin heritage, anchoring our activation in the vibrant celebration of Dia de los Muertos. Our creations in this space included a colossal slide guitar, a unique guitar music box, and an imposing arch. Every one of these structures came to life through the rhythmic turning of cranks, accompanied by enchanting music and vibrant lights.

Moving to the second square, we embraced the spirit of the harvest season and Halloween. Here, you’ll find a mammoth musical pumpkin, an illuminating photo frame, a range of cozy seating options, and a human-powered music box.

It’s worth noting that all these structures operate entirely off the grid and are built with sustainability at their core, echoing the cherished values of our town.
