These activations imbue our iconic Loop with a unique sense of place during the International Downtown Association Conference & Marketplace, co-hosted by Chicago Loop Alliance from October 4th to 6th at the Palmer House, a Hilton hotel. This immersive installation is a shining example for over 1,300 downtown place managers, illustrating how to design downtown areas and neighbourhoods to offer experiences beyond conventional office spaces or storefront retail. Most of the four installations feature music from some of Chicago’s musical legends, spanning genres like house, R&B, soul, and jazz, including Mr. Fingers and Benny Goodman. Meanwhile, others foster a sense of joy and appreciation for nature and the surrounding environment.
