Duke Arts entrusted us with a straightforward yet impactful mission: to captivate our students during homecoming, both across the city’s downtown and on campus. Our dedicated team wholeheartedly embraced this mission and went on to craft ten human-powered music boxes strategically positioned in bustling locales.

As students took hold of the crank and gave it a whirl, they were serenaded by the enchanting melodies of local artists and illustrious alums. These music boxes operated entirely off the grid and illuminated with an inviting glow when activated.

But that’s not all. To provide a respite for visitors between their classes, we thoughtfully arranged five LED star benches, offering a delightful opportunity to unwind and soak in the ambience.
